For as long as Hollywood has existed, celebrities have taken part of social and philanthropic causes to raise money, awareness, and discussion in the homes and offices around the world. From the March of Dimes to domestic violence to women’s equality, celebrities have used their star power for a variety of causes, however there’s a debate asking if today’s Hollywood stars are totally missing the point?
Today’s celebrities are getting more creative with their online and television ads. Some say these ads totally miss the point of discussion while others hit home on very personal levels.
The topic of discussion today is Demi Moore’s and her husband Ashton Kutcher’s ads about sex slavery. Some say the videos are fun and easy to discuss with others while others say that these videos do nothing to raise awareness regarding the severity and danger of sex trafficing. What do you think?
